Jay S. Goldstein
In 2019, Jay formed Orange Energy Media to serve a need he is passionate about: leveling the field for the small business owner to effectively compete in a digital, online world. The firm specializes in providing affordable social media marketing and digital marketing services for small businesses.
Jay was also a volunteer with SCORE.org. SCORE, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. Jay also took on the additional roles of Social Media Chair and Webmaster for the Long Island Chapter of SCORE.
In 2016, Jay joined Shutterstock, a leading digital media company. As Director of Global Learning and Development, Jay built a world-class sales and customer service training organization to support its 1,200 employees around the world.
In 2014, Jay teamed with Huthwaite, a MHI Global Company to help both SMB and Enterprise organizations improve their sales performance and effectiveness.
As Vice President, Professional Services & Training for FalconStor Software (NASDAQ: FALC), Jay reorganized and streamlined the services group of a global $60M data protection & data recovery software company. His efforts to grow FalconStor Software’s Professional Services practice and enhance its Learning and Development function kept him busy starting in 2012.
Prior to FalconStor, Jay was Senior Manager for the Sales Training Division of Canon USA, Inc. He directed over 30 training managers, field trainers and administrative staff to support the sales and marketing efforts of Canon’s Imaging Systems Group (ISG) business products. ISG Sales Training supported over 8,000 sales representatives in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Mr. Goldstein was also a contributing editor for both of Canon USA, Inc. magazines, Imagine and Insight which were published monthly and distributed throughout Canon of the Americas.
Prior to Canon, he was the Director of Learning and Development for both a global professional services company (Plural, Inc / Dell Professional Services) and after Plural, a learning management systems company (Vuepoint / Certpoint) in the New York Metropolitan area. Jay was also the Director of Training and Organizational Development for a national insurance brokerage company.
In 1997, his innate entrepreneurial spirit led him to create Vision Training Solutions (VTS) which specialized in corporate learning and management solutions. VTS helped large and small companies increase productivity in the workplace through the use of learning principles, training and development programs and change management techniques to give management and support personnel the tools they needed to realize their goals and maximize business results.
In 1992, Mr. Goldstein’s extensive experience in the technology and education fields led him to join with FUTUREKIDS, the world leader in computer education, where he owned and directed two computer learning centers in Massapequa and Rockville Centre, New York. Jay’s educational success with children, adults, and corporate executives led his learning centers to be featured in a number of local and national publications including Long Island Newsday, Home PC Magazine and features on WNBC and CNBC broadcasts. He was also a contributing editor for the New York Personal Computer Users Group.
Before venturing into the Learning and Development field, Jay was a senior tax consultant with what is now Ernst and Young. He obtained his MBA from New York University where he was also a part-time instructor and received the dean’s citation for service to the university and community. Mr. Goldstein also received his BS from NYU in Marketing.
